About Dr. Aaronson
Palm Springs Native
Dr. Peyton Aaronson is a proud Palm Springs native who is deeply committed to the community that raised her. After graduating from Palm Springs High School, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she was a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society and Bruin Belle Community Service Organization. She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where she developed special interests in dermatology, nutrition, and soft tissue surgery. She returned home to the Coachella Valley to begin her career with a clear purpose: to care for the pets and people who make this community so special.
Career and Community
Through her work in the Coachella Valley, Dr. Aaronson has developed an immense appreciation for both her patients and their owners, and has witnessed firsthand how important pets are to the framework of the Desert community. In 2024, she was elected to the Board of Directors at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, where she now serves as Chair of the Community Outreach Services Committee. In response to the region’s needs, she has further advanced her surgical expertise, focusing on high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter procedures to help address the animal population crisis. Her work focuses on expanding access to care, supporting underserved populations, and strengthening the human–animal bond throughout the Coachella Valley.
As her involvement in Greater Palm Springs has grown, Dr. Aaronson has recognized the increasing strain created by the veterinary workforce shortage. In response, she began working as a relief veterinarian, supporting the many dedicated and compassionate veterinary hospitals throughout the region and helping ensure continued access to care for their patients. Her work is rooted in collaboration, service, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of the community she calls home.
